 About "Think Of Me"

Written for a Swedish short-film called Marcus & Medelhavet (Marcus and the Mediterranean), this song was originally a rock song with a "subtle" bossa nova rhythm in the bass, and that version is actually heard in the end titles. The lyric is also closely connected to the story of the film, which mainly is about casual sexual relationships.

I decided to re-arrange the song into a bossa-nova song, and this is the result. It was also included in the film, in an early morning scene where the disillusioned main character is riding a tram back home.

I love the electric guitar in this version. It was mainly improvised, and heavily inspired by a recording session I did with my friend Simon earlier the same year (2003). We used to call this guitar sound "cuban electric guitar" for some reason, and even tried to find cigars in the Mjölby bars when we went out in the evenings after recording to celebrate. No cigars were available though in Mjölby at that time. Hopefully the situation has now improved.....
